Spring for Love – Meet Rebecca E. Neely!

Welcome to the Sunday Spring for Love blog hop! It’s the last day and I thought I’d share my favourite quips from kids in church. Don’t you just love the way their minds work? 

Ms. Terri asked her Sunday School class to draw pictures of their favourite Bible stories. She was puzzled by Kyle’s picture, which showed four people on an airplane. So she asked him which story it was meant to represent.
“The Flight to Egypt ” he replied.
Pointing at each figure, Ms. Terri said, “That must be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.
But who’s the fourth person?”
“Oh, that’s Pontius – the pilot!”

A little girl became restless as the preacher’s sermon dragged on and on.
Finally, she leaned over to her mother and whispered, “Mommy, if we give him the money now, will he let us go?”

A 6-year-old was overheard reciting the Lord’s Prayer at a church service,
“And forgive us our trash passes, as we forgive those who passed trash against us.”

“Dear God, I say your prayer every night, ‘Lead us not into temptation and deliver us some e-mail’ but I never get an e-mail from you. Do you have my right address?”

“Thank you for the baby brother but what I prayed for was a puppy.”

“I want to be just like my daddy when I grow up but without so much hair all over.”

“Dear God, if you watch in Church on Sunday I will show you my new shoes.”

“Dear God, please take care of my daddy, mommy, sister, brother, my doggy and me. Oh, please take care of yourself, God. If anything happens to you, we’re gonna be in a big mess.”

Meet Rebecca ~ Rebecca E. Neely was born and raised in a small town in western Pennsylvania. She’s been a voracious reader all her life, and enjoys stories of all stripes. Rebecca holds a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University, and worked in that field for about a decade. Tell us about your romantic suspense novel, A Mighty Good Man.

‘Hank’ Jerry…Her personal and professional life on the skids, a family emergency forces her to return to the small town, and the aunt, she left behind.

Jack ‘Gent’ Darcy…Fresh out of prison, he’s bent on cutting ties with the Creds, but when you’re a war counselor in a national gang, they don’t let you just walk away.

Injured and on the run, Jack lands on Hank’s doorstep, and makes her a proposition she can’t refuse: write his story about life inside one of the most powerful gangs in the country. It’s simple – she’ll get her career groove back, and he’ll bury the gang, then disappear – his version of freedom.

Only problem is, they can’t help falling for each other, and they’ve both got something to hide that could blow up in their faces. With time running out and gang enforcers closing in, will the trust they’ve forged survive the ultimate test?
